Compensation Analyst Intern

Location: Cary, NC

 

We are currently seeking a human resources focused intern who will participate in a three to four month compensation project in our Cary, NC Corporate Headquarters.

COMPENSATION ANALYST

The Compensation Analyst will join our Human Resources team to assist with and deliver a full review and revision of the existing market-based pay structure for Loparex positions in the Americas region.

Project Tactics:

  • Gather background information needed for project success
  • Determine sources of external market data
  • Prepare data for analysis and use
  • Review existing job families and descriptions
  • Conduct the market data analysis
  • Develop pay structure(s)
  • Calculate the costs of revised pay structure(s)
  • Implement and evaluate the new pay structure(s)
  • Review existing job titles by location and function
  • Make recommendations for standardizing titles
  • Partner with HR Generalist in auditing jobs for content, preparing job descriptions and classifying jobs by comp value
  • Support related HR team projects and activities
  • Review and gain exposure to Merit Planning module within Performance Management tool
  • Maintain high level of confidentiality and discretion during pay structure research, review and implementation

Qualifications:

  • Current Junior or Senior pursuing BA/BS, or a Master’s level student, in Human Resources, Business Management or related program
  • High level of confidentiality and discretion in all aspects of responsibilities
  • Excellent time management, organization and communication skills
  • Ability to excel in a team environment
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Experience in HRIS and reporting systems a plus
  • Previous project work in Human Resources a plus
