Network / System Administration Engineer

We are currently seeking a Network/System Administration Engineer who will join the Information Technology Team at our Cary, NC Corporate Headquarters.

Network/System Administration Engineer

Key responsibilities include:

  • Administer global WAN (MPLS network) and LAN configurations.
  • Global responsibility for security including network and Internet security, host security and LAN/WAN security.
  • Administration and maintenance of MS Exchange 2010 mail system.  Recently migrated from Lotus Notes R7 Environment.
  • Lead remote systems administrators to address problem troubleshooting and resolution to end-user community.
  • Maintain VOIP phone system at the HQ.
  • Maintenance and administration of VMWare environment.
  • Implementation of Aruba Networks Wireless technology corporate wide.
  • Implement department policies and procedures.
  • Provides technical leadership to peers and junior personnel within Infrastructure Services
  • After hours support will occasionally be necessary.

Requirements:

7+ years experience in IT Network/Systems Administration and Management.

  • Responsible, well organized team player with strong communication and customer service skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Extensive experience with MS Windows Operating Systems Server and Desktop, MS Active Directory 2008 R2 design and implementation, MOSS SharePoint Services 2010, MS Exchange 2010, BES software, CITRIX terminal services, VMWare virtual server, CISCO Switches, Routers and Wireless devices.
  • Experience with IPSEC configuration, CISCO ASA and Microsoft TMG/ISA Technologies.
  • Experience with VOIP phone and unified messaging systems.
  • Experience with Backup Exec application.
  • Ability to manage the day to day office IT support (file/mail/print/domain servers, network, end user desktop/laptops, etc.)
  • Experience migrating from Lotus Notes R7 email to MS Exchange 2007 as well as Lotus Notes R7 application to MOSS SharePoint 2010 is a plus.
  • Previous SQL server or Oracle administration experience a plus.
  • Familiarity with Lotus Notes R7 Server and Desktop and AS/400 operating systems is a plus.
